New paintings

My new works on board and canvas very much pick up on the view from outside my studio window. Across the busy main road where trams, buses and traffic pass in a continuously flow all day long, is the flat façade of apartment blocks. The lines and grids of this view, which really does jump towards you as you enter the studio space, I think can be seen reflected in the grids of the works below. The pastels of palette seems to be a response to the muted Northern winter light .
